Warts

Warts can be found virtually anywhere on the body. The most common places are hands, feet, forearms and face. They are raised solid growths on the skin and are usually painless. They are caused by viruses and can be contagious.

Recommended Action

Since warts are viral in nature, improving the immune system will help a lot. There are many folk remedies for warts. The one that I have found to be the most successful is the white latex found in the stems of dandelions. Apply fresh latex of a dandelion on the wart, three times a day for 7-10 days. The wart will turn dark and fall off. This method has been more than 90% effective. The only problem is it can only be done in dandelion season. Other methods that have worked are taking the peel of a black banana (old bananas) and apply the inside of the skin on the wart for one hour daily for a week. This method seems to be about 60% effective. Applying garlic or garlic oil on the wart sometimes works as does tincture of Lomatium. Applying a Vitamin C paste or liquid Vitamin A has sometimes been successful.
