Fatigue

See also Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

This is a feeling of mental or physical tiredness, which may be the result of physical exertion, mental or emotional stress, rapid weight loss or boredom. On the other hand, it is possible that fatigue is a symptom of anaemia, hypoglycemia, nutritional deficiency, obesity or acute infectious disease. Headache, backache, indigestion or general irritability may often accompany fatigue. Cross-reference should be made to the above subjects if any of these are suspected.

Recommended Action

The specific underlying disorder must be discovered and dealt with before long term relief can be obtained. A period of rest should follow exercise, perhaps a much needed change will relieve boredom, while detoxification and nutritional supplementation may help in cases of rapid weight loss.

As fatigue can be a symptom of underlying emotional tension fill in the Flower Essence Questionnaire to see if it can determine if emotional issue might contribute.
